Volunteered for the U.S. Air Force in June 1962 and served until retirement October 01,1982.  Assigned duties in the field of aircraft airborne navigational aids and radar on C-124, SR-71, B-52 D/F, KC 135 and T-38 aircraft.  Also assigned duties in the ground radio and microwave radio systems.  Retired as a Senior Master Sergeant (E-8)

Joined Motorola Land Mobile Products as a project manager in late 1982 and worked as a technical microwave systems repairman and two-way radio project systems manger for 28 years.  Supervised the planning, site development, radio equipment installation and final systems testing of microwave and 800 MHz radio trunking systems throughout the southeastern states for Motorola.  
Joined the VFW in 2006 and have served as the Commander of VFW Post 4180 in Snellville for the past six years.
